Eight awards were given in the $2,500,000 to $2,800,000 category at the 2026 COBA Tour of Homes. This home took seven of them, including Best of Show.

This Caldera Springs home sits on Preservation Loop. Four thousand four hundred and sixty square feet, four bedrooms, five bathrooms, designed by Wright Design Studio with interiors by Legum Design. The palette is wood, stone, steel and plaster, kept clean and contemporary, and built around how a resort home actually gets used rather than how it photographs.

An oversized pivot door opens the entry. In the kitchen, riftsawn white oak cabinetry in a dark stain sits under a leathered Taj Mahal quartzite island. Ten and a quarter inch plank white oak runs the main living space, with a fireplace wall in Farrow and Ball off black behind it. The primary bath is St. Petersburg limestone and gold-toned quartz, and a hot tub sits just off the suite.

Then there is the room the judges singled out. A bonus room with a golf simulator and its own bar, dark from floor to ceiling, concrete counters, white oak cabinetry. Around it: temperature-controlled wine storage in clear-lacquered alder, built-in bunks, a covered grilling station, garage storage sized for golf carts and gear, and a coat closet hidden behind a wood slat wall that most people walked straight past on the tour.
